Convex mirror
A traffic convex mirror lets drivers and pedestrians see what is coming round a blind corner, cutting the risk of collisions at junctions, bends, car park entrances and narrow lanes. It also helps shop staff watch for theft.
The model we carry is a 32 inch polycarbonate mirror that shows distances close to true scale. It is far tougher and harder to break than ordinary glass, and does not craze after long exposure to sun and rain. Mounting hardware is included for fixing to a pole or wall.
Mount the mirror where drivers can see it before they reach the blind spot, angled to cover the whole stretch that vehicles or people will come out of. Set it high enough that pedestrians will not walk into it and parked vehicles will not block the view. After fitting, drive past it once to fine-tune the angle, and wipe the surface with a soft cloth regularly to keep the reflection clear.
